Zoom Zooma, Who's Got the Key to my Bimmer?  Who am I ????

Hello - My name is Michael.  I am what you might call a Petrol Head, Piston Head, Gear Head, Car Guy, etc.

All those wonderful things you might call someone with a keen interest in cars.  As often typical of things like this,

I have always been interested in cars, right from an early age.  Back from when Corgi / Matchbox cars were sold

                                             for pennies.

I have also always liked to tinker with things.  I used to replace the stereo in my Mum's cars as a kid.  Or you might

find me in front of the a home stereo component supposedly trying to make it better.  Sadly, I sometimes ended up

with spare screws and nuts when I was done.  Maybe this is why I did not end up as an Engineer.

One of my favorite brand of cars has always been BMW's.  They seem to have this mystique about them.  Well they

used to anyway.  Now they just seem like bloated marvels of gadgetry.  I can't tell if James May would be thrilled or

dissappointed with them. Jeremy at least we know will love the power and Hamster the Bling :)

The first BMW I remember seeing was a E21 323i.  To me as a kid, it was the most awesome car in the world.  I used to get ahold of as many BMW brochures as I could.  I would gawk at the pictures of the 635 Csi, the 323i Bauer Convertible, I used to dream of owning one of these cars.

Fast forward many years later, I was able to get back into the car thing and get more into BMWs beyond just dreaming.  I'd like to think I have achieved a modicum of success with this.  Over the years, I have owned a number of these cars.

My first one was a 1995 530i Wagon which was a member of the E34 era of cars or models.

After that I had an E34 540i Wagon.  Over the years, it has been a mixture of E34s, E39s, E38s and a smatter of an E53 (X5) or E36 here and there.  There was even once an E46.

Apart from cars, I of course enjoy driving and taking trips like long road trips.  So, with all these "likes" combined in one slighty crazy package - Me - we had arrived at where we are today.

This is my story of how I am attempting to drive cross country in a 2000 BMW ///M5.

I hope you will join me here, or any of the other wonderful social media places where I will be sharing my experience/s
