There is an official and formal way to introduce a company and talk about them.  There is the other way where you talk about a company based on personal experience and interaction.  I would like to do the latter with MEYLE.

I was introduced to MEYLE by a supplier.  When I came up with the idea of this trip, one thing I knew I would need is some new front suspension parts like control arms.  I had used MEYLE in the past on my E34 540i Wagon - the impact of their parts was a night and day improvement.  I then went on to install their parts on a 2000 BMW 750iL.  Again, much improved performance and improvements.  Thus, I was expecting the same with the M5.  I wanted to install the HD parts from MEYLE.  Why you ask?  Well, let me try to explain.

It is understandable that I would expect similar results with MEYLE parts on the M5, what I wasn't prepared for was the close support and interaction from the Organization itself.  MEYLE was informed about this trip with pretty short notice and there were a couple of hoops to jump through for them to committ their support.  But commit their support they did, and in fine fashion too.  Things like the decals for the car were kind of expected and it was nice that they did that.  However, they followed this with contact from their Corporate office in Germany seeking to actively participate and follow this trip.  I was in contact with Carolyn W. who is the US Sales Director for MEYLE.  She had the decals for the cars personally delivered!  As this trip was also a test of the MEYLE HD parts, MEYLE asked me for direct reports and feedback on how the parts performed.  I know this may seem all warm and fuzzy for a supporter of this trip, however I assure you this is a pleasant surprise and it also reiterates that all the supporters of this trip have a true passion for what they do and how it impacts their customers.  Just go look at their Facebook page and see the other programs they support and how interactive they are.  See how they test their products, etc.  In other words, don't just take my word for it.

I had a chance to put their support to a test well before this trip was even under way.  After the insallation of the control arms, I mentioned elsewhere that I still had a slight vibration and a clunky noise.  I talked with Carolyn W. who immediately referred me to Robert - One of the US based  Engineers.  I talked with Robert and it was one of those chats that made me feel WAY MORE comfortable with my choice of MEYLE.  Talking with him makes you feel like you are happy a friend of your's went to work for a company who's products you like.  WINNING!

Anyway.... that's my unofficial way to tell you about MEYLE.  Here is a more official way, but don't let the formal talk fool you, they are a cool and fun bunch of people.  BRexit or not, I'm keeping mein Deutsch friends!
