As I embark on this trip, it occurs to me that I am driving through a country that has been hit with a number of tragedies recently that have involved the loss of lives. How can anyone have missed it?
ALL lives lost are a tragedy, no matter who it is - regardless of their race, creed, color, sex, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, marital status, and socioeconomic status.
I really want to say that ALL LIVES MATTER! And I mean ALL lives. Again, regardless of race, creed, color, sex, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, marital status, and socioeconomic status. We ALL matter; let's stop the madness!
Whether you be a Man or a Woman, Father or Mother, Daughter or Son, Parent or Child, Sister or Brother, Relative or friend, Boss or co-worker, Peace Officer or Civilian, Soldier or Fireman, Student or Teacher, Imam or Rabbi, Priest or Monk, Christian or Muslim, Buddhist or Hindu, Politician or Constituent, and it goes on.
It doesn't matter who or what you are. We are all here together and in it together. Let's make it work! I have friends and acquaintances from all over the world from so many different backgrounds and professions and such. My circle of people I know is probably more impressive than the United Colours of Benetton (Go to the interweb for that). If I can make it work with the people I know, I am confident everyone else can.
